lukin: I had forgotten all about that Dark Sun game until you mentioned it. That game was the SHIT for a minute. I see you have a half-giant but those little bald guys were not exactly human and kicked the most ass. When I was a kid I made a fat drawing with all kinds of characters and races from those stories having a big ass war, taken from a scene in one of the books where they were in some kind of caravan or somethin.
psz: I remember games like Pool of Radiance (the father of that huge series) well! That one was particularly hard because, IIRC, you only had a few classes to choose from, and unlike some of the later ones, could not adjust your characters' stats, but just had to re-roll until they were acceptable. I also remember that body being one of the only 2 or 3 acceptable ones, and that you could put that bearded dude on some fat breasts np. Also your guys could only get so strong before they capped and the final boss was definitely taking some folks with him. Did you ever try to start a riot in town? You had to break the law then get busy with the security forces. If you beat them, they had another wave instantly, and it got harder each time. I got up to like 4th wave one time and it was screens of mages and shit.
Pont mentioned Dungeon Master, of which I played part II or III and loved it a lot.
I think this game my mom had me playing when I was real little was called Zork? It was all text and it was SO FUCKING HARD. The tiniest, teeniest little mistake and You have been eaten by a grue!!! Game fucking OVER. No direction whatsoever on exactly wtF you were supposed to be doing to even begin to defend yourself or get anything accomplished.
Also the first Warcraft game. ZugZug.
I once had a 6 or 7 digit ICQ #. After the first time I quit UO and came back, ICQ was still in use, and I realized how long the numbers were getting. I tried and tried and tried to remember my old number... 823.... Damnit.
