My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

Sorceror
PEACE is my warcry ;)

As for restricting armor and such I think I've made myself clear on that prevoiusly but I'll do a short run down on why.

First of I was making it more down to earth whatever that means in a thing like that. Also given everyone a more decent chance in winning a battle without having to play for ever to make yourself a character that would stand a chance and you can actually jump right into the setting.
This also helps to weed alot of the "my johnson is bigger then yours" people as you very nicely put it I have to say :).

Also no worries of having to hear "he stole my arties" and thing also will break in this kind of things when you fight over and over and you dont have to hear alot of that whine aswell. This are a few reasons why I thought the way I did.

We put in alot of time in that community reasoning back and forth on diffrent rules and such and seeing you write "that we we're doing it wrong and had strange ideals" when we put in alot of time into it and seeing that all you had done was the write yourself a background kind of serouisly pissed me off and then having to work like a mad man to get a simple answer didnt really put it my fire out so to speak.

As for as for your community I have said nothing about it cause honestly I dont see anything to say about it. Except recently I noticed alot of back and forth, in one post you say that this thing is not allowed, in the next it is allowed. Thats the only thing that caught my eye on your community so far.

So you cant say that I've knocked down on your ideas can you? if you read through my posts? atleast I dont think I have.

Now I'm just waiting for Missha Wong to explain why our community was filled with crap. :)

my god my eyes hurt. well i guess thats what i diserve for not checking forums in a while. as to what you all said. im with viriiguy most of the way. lets get this town working before we start adding more and more things. and i do like the idea of justified kills, but not all the time mabey once or twice a week at the most.

i also like the idea of a jail, we are all hanging out at the tree top tavern and theres a very drunken peasent stubling around being loud and disruptive.

the law (guards, police whatever you want to call them ill call them law) comes in and gently escorts him out to the jail untill he sobers up.

i like the cops idea. like a thief is caught and if he doesnt give back the items the gaurds will either jail him untill he gives it back or kill him and take the item back. and if there is a murder from a peasent to a thief then you are both jailed for murder.

so that makes only guards able to kill a person and it must be justified. also mabey the jail is a courthouse too so the guards have to state the reason the persosn was killed.???

just my imput on this and im going on my roleplayer now so see u all there! :) :) :)

A simple quote will suffice here...

4) Will law enforcement/justice be stablished to enforce the law? (it can even include a jail where characters will be confined if captured) In that case, will be punished the use of "non-rp" ways to escape from it?

At current no. First we need to focus on making the town work at it's most basic level. If in a few months, year or whatever, if then we have a large following, and the players wish to pursue the lawful and evil route, then we will consider it. But at current we need to layout the basic foundations and make the town work.
But yes... Guards would be kind of cool! :D

yea i think that too, all towns have gaurds why not a roleplay town also?
Well... if I understood properly Viriiguy's answer:
There is no need for guards because there is not even the chance to be a criminal (or to break the law). Thieves are not allowed. Assasins are not allowed (so murdering and thievery are not allowed either, and so, no reason to have guards there). Also the thing about the guards killing the thief if he resisted to the arrest too much was an idea I suggested based in not allowing the players in the rpg city to use insurance: if you allow insurance, the thief can always insure the stolen item, making his death for the recovery totally unuseful. Also players might insure their items making the thief also unuseful.
The only task that guards might have in a RP city as viriiguy described (basically for my understanding a merchants/crafters city), would be to maintain the public order (arresting disturbing characters, like drunk ones).
Viriiguy, apologies accepted, btw. My questions were motivated because by your initial description I thought this was going to be a project where FINALLY a full rp situation would be possible (with thieves, detectives, cooks and all different kind of templates interacting in a totally rp way, without other restrictions that act in a consistant rp enviroment (if your character is law abidder, you are not going to start killing another character just because you know it might be a thief character, but you might follow him to call the guards on him if you see him stealing something, a beggar won't have a castle... maybe even a house either... things like those). It seems that your project is oriented in a different direction from what I was thinking and I wish you guys luck with it.

You speak as if your community were the only one. Including yours, there have been several, none of which are to my liking because of different things I consider crap. It's my own subjective opinion on them, and I decided not to comment on most of them because it doesn't matter, I just let them be and waited for one more in tune with my taste. In those which I commented, I refrained from doing it negatively or treating others in a condescending tone.

I didn't even post in your own thread. It is very different to say in a separate thread that other proposals are crap than jumping on your thread and say "that's crap  ".

And no, I won't comment on what I dislike about your proposal. It's your proposal after all. You can't please everyone, I don't want you to please me, and I doubt you want to please me in particular.

Re: My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

I was just pointed out by another thread but im VERY interested in Joining. Can we still join? If so ill PM with info on my main 3 characters to see which would be more fitting.

Re: My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

YEs we are still open for new arrivals. I jsut sent you a PM Volodya.

Fantasised,
This is a new village. Emerald Glenn is closed de to all the residents leaving UO and new folks moving into the area.

I believe Misha Wong posted a link to the location of the village in General Discussion under What happened to RP on Demise or something like that.

i am agreeing with Sheng Long Gradilla.. roleplaying on demise is not dead... yet.. many still seeks to settle RP cityes, and great ,cityes are already made, i have seen them! and if the RP ever died on Demise, it will revive once more..

Re: My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

It may not be dead yet, but you have to admit... It's barely alive and kicking... You should all leave Demise and join Hybrid in my opinion! :D

Re: My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

 i could admit that there is not much roleplaying left on demise, yes.. but people are at least trying! and even if thou moved to a new shard... then many people would loose all their money and items on the long travel! even their skills would go down again... thou must ask thine self, is that a price worth of paying?

Re: My fellow Role Players, Come and listen

Everywhere I go, if I act in-character, at least one other player plays along, always. There are the roleplayers, waiting for another one to stimulate them.
