Each vendor has a 2500 gold cap. There are multiple vendors. Mark a bunch of em. Then also, you can make a crapload more selling it to people for use but the problem is location. I used to have a vendor selling suits of spined for 800 each. Went like hot cakes.

I dont know if anyone has told you or not. but every other town has blacksmith/armor guys and weaponsmiths and they seem to respawn with up to 5-6k every hour.. i made 100k in no time starting out i would jsut get a npc escourt from brit near the tailors and take him to jelhom i htink and theres 800 to 1k or something then jelhom has like 5 or 6 or more vendors that will buy random weapons people throw out at banks pretty often lol anyway if u time it right u can make like 20k on 1 vender run going town to town.. youll find yourself in a rave with one or more other person doing the same thing alot of times tho i find lol

Here are a couple ideas.
1. Mine ore, sell ingots to other players.
2. Collect leather by killing animals on ice island or bulls in del, make leather armor, sell armor to other players. "one polar bear = one set of armor = around 1k"
3. Find a small idoc in the middle of nowhere and camp it, hopefully getting all loot to yourself, sell loot to other players.
4. Kill Liches/lich lords for gold/wands, use a dexer with a silver weapon, sell wands to players.
5. Do not play poker with your hard earned money, unless you want to start back at square one. Unless you are good at poker.
6. Start a tamer and kill the BIG mobs, make BIG money.
7. Make full potion kegs, explo or refresh. Easy, Safe, Very profitable. Need money for materials though.
8. Sell me your virginity, 1 milz.
I got rich with #3. Repeat #3 about 25 times, $$$! #3 is by far the most time consuming though, you will spend a few days watching the house getting a time window of when it will fall, and there is still no guarentee that 10 reds won't show up and steal it from you.
#8 is probably your best bet, i'll be gentle.

If you have a miner/tinker pm me and I'll tell you what you can make to get 14gp per ingot. You can sell 2500gp worth of this particular item to each npc each time they re-set their buying clock. Mark runes to the npc in each city and recall around in between mining to sell off your goods. Can make enough in a day to macro up whatever char you need to move past farming.

Easy answer , PVM Tamer with peace, mark runes to balrons, ancient wyrms, etc, have a set plan to recall out fast (Keep 0 counts so u can do this) balrons drop 4-4.5k each and wyrms around 3.3k + 80 barbed leather.. if you do this right you can make 100k + an hr easily , just change it up, sometimes reds camp certain spots (especially hythloth ballys). If done right 2-3 days worth of average work can get you around a million GP or so , cant go wrong.

If you don't have many GM'ed chars and you need quick loot, mass escorting is a great way to make a buck. There was actually a guide on it in the guides section, but I just looked for it for about 15 minutes and couldn't find it. I guess they nixed it when the Guides section got reorganized.
Basically, you make one char good enough in magery and meditation to where he can constantly gate around.
You create 3 other lame chars (clones) on other accounts and just position them in towns in the areas where escorts are. Now you have 4 chars in the game, make sure you have all the windows up. You take your main char and you do an escort. While he is in his escort grace period, you recall to one of your clones. You take the escort with the clone, but you gate them out with your main char. Move onto the other clones and when you are done with them, you will be also able run an escort on your main char.
Go in circles like that until you get bored.
Version 2: work each one of your clones to high magery so that they can gate themselves and you don't have to hop around with the main char. For this version, you will also need runebooks for each clone though.
Someone else said it, but another great way is to beat up on cyclops. ~1K each monster and they are easy to kill. Watch the PKs though
