So for anyone else that insists on cryin that ryan needs to buy better security and all this bullshit seriously needs to go find out what the fuck they are talking about instead of coming on here and telling ryan what the fuck to do. Dont you guys think hes prolly got the most protection he can afford or even have? I know i would just so i wouldnt have to hear yall piss and moan about something you have no control over like you always do. Servers down big fuckin deal go have a life. The is other things out there other than UO.

There's no crying here, simply just a suggestion. Were you guys dropped on your heads at a young age, seriously? And besides, I haven't been on the shard long enough to be well aware of what Ryan has spent on the server so far, so I'm just going by what I know right now. And clearly, whatever he has bought surely isn't doing it's job. But you brought up a valid point that it's EV1 being attacked, not the server. That's new information to me, so I wasn't aware. But normally, when a company get's attacked, their whole server-base doesn't, depending. So, I apologize in a half-way sort of manner. But I still personally feel that the server should have higher security. It doesn't matter though, it's not my server, it's not in my budget, so I have no say. It's ridiculous how many people are going to try to kiss the admin's asses. They don't care if you're defending them, because you really aren't. What I'm saying doesn't bother them, because I'm not attacking any of them in anyway, and they know that. So, before anyone else has a childish reply just to harass and kiss ass, take a moment to think about what you're really doing. It's you (who lives no life) who is getting pissed at a meer suggestion. That's it!

Recently many prominent web sites face so called Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDoS). While former security threats could be faced by a tight security policy and active measures like using firewalls, vendor patches etc. these DDoS are new in such way that there is no completely satisfying protection yet. In this paper we categorize different forms of attacks and give an overview over the most common DDoS tools. Furthermore we present a solution based on Class Based Routing mechanisms in the Linux kernel that will prevent the most severe impacts of DDoS on clusters of web servers with a prepended load balancing server. The goal is to keep the web servers under attack responding to the normal client requests. Some performance tests and a comparison to other approaches conclude our paper.

Dont we have other problems now than to fight each other ?? Yes we are all a bit upset about the shit that happens, but all this bitching against each other starts to suck way more than the current server downtime.

Just wanted to get rid of that... feeling better.

Well, truth be told, Justin Credible was my brother's char, he hung out with Lance/Phire Hawk. It might be him, sounds like somewhere he'd hang out.
