1. Sid Meirs' Civilization (The Original)
Played the shit out of that game as a kid/teen
2. Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar
Played that game for as long as my NES held off. That was real UO, where you actually had to read the moongate to travel through them and what not. Only pleasant memories from this game, I think I'll start it over again!
Romance of the Three Kingdom II (SNES)
I still do, and will always play this game when I don't know what to do. I've beaten it countless times, I know every details of every generals that is important to know, and yet, I just never get tired of it.

There was also Terranigma. You pretty much took the role of a mix between God and Darwin, developing the world to it's current stage. Along with AMAZING and challenging gameplay, it also had insanely good and enjoyable music.

I approve. Love the pan flute sounding parts.

Yeah, this one was annoying. The original game supported FM (AdLib/OPL) or Roland MIDI, but not General MIDI... So extracting the MIDI tracks meant **ALL** of the instruments are wrong (also means you can't play with proper music, unless you're using a software Roland emu/remapper).

So, I ripped the MIDI tracks, and played the game with FM to get the tonal styles, and then converted the instruments in the MIDI to match.

The intro never sounded that good to me, probably due to the fact that when I played that game, we had 8bit sounds or whatever it was then!

Yeah, 99% of us had FM (Sound Blaster OPL or AdLib) cards when it came out. A few may have had Roland. They DID add a General MIDI patch later, which is what I use to play the game (and rip the songs).

Sadly, Egypt's MIDI is broken every time I extract it, so I can't "clean it up"

You got way too much time with Fruit Loops over there.

Also, SoundBlaster Represent. MS-Dos and One Must Fall 2097. Good fucking Times. I challenge anyone to fight my Jaguar.

You don't even know, when i found the full version of this game in my late teens, i shit myself and BINGED on it.

I'll take a break from DII and get in vent and stop being a anti-social social outcast.
