What ML Features do you want the most?

I'm looking to get a general consensus of what features are currently missing from Demise that you'd like to see finished up or fixed.

I hear a lot of you wanting us to add new features and tweak things here and there and this is your chance to give me feedback on what you want in our next publish.

Give me a list of what's not accurate to OSI and what's missing and I'll see what I can do to get it done. The RunUO Team is committed to making this shard bigger and better and we're looking for some feedback from you guys.

By the way please be detailed and have some references for us on Stratics to items or systems that are missing.

Luck/loot tweaks...if I had an OSI account I'd check everything....

The loot system needs some serious tweaking, it's kind of screwy that people get more artis and better loot off of ratmen and ratmen archers than they do off of daemons and blood elementals. From what I understand the loot is half of what it should be on OSI.

ML craftable artie, pets, bosses etc .. it can help with new templates, an more.

hello :)

i wanna apply cu side and reptalon.
and want fix some tamer's pets(like bake kissune, rune beetle. they have too slow follow speed.) following speed to faster(like human running speed) or can use teleport(mage able pet) during following. white wyrm or nightmares have good follow speed.

the last weapon macro in uo macros,darts and peerless would be nice but sounds like alot of work. and never fix nervestrike, its the most unbalancing thing ive seen since 5/6 mages.

i think the only thing u need to change are darts. fix it so its not 100% hit at 50 ninja. I really like how demise is partial ML. it has all the good parts of ML without the lame ML items. Keep demise the same.

I'd honestly like to see the bulk of the ML Content added in even if it isn't immediately accurate. It can always be tweaked later as even EA ended up tweaking a lot of it post-release.

I'd really like to be able to receive tokens, which then could be turned in for a collectible or anniversary item, from the UODemise Shop for donating to the server.

And can we finally see all the Vet Rewards put in the game? They're up to year Nine. (That would be 810 days for us.) But were still missing key rewards from the first six year; including banner deeds, flaming skull deeds, hanging decorative shield, hanging decorative skeleton and the ankh.

A few of the systems that we're missing would be a very nice addition as well such as instanced corpse loot and the completion of the Doom stealables/puzzles.


As you can see, Ryan, we are missing pretty much all of the ML content. We have the housing features and a little bit of the Elf/Human race stuff in, but that's really about it. So how close are we from being a Post-ML mirror? Well, you can take a look through all the links and judge that for yourself. That's everything Demise is currently lacking.

Now, I do question the need to use a poorly updated database such as Stratics. It's really only good for exact creature stats and formulas. That's great and all, but most of the content isn't PvP based and there isn't an immediate need to be supremely accurate with this stuff. Just the fact that it is going to be implemented would be enough to satiate the majority of the player-base and would renew interest in non-PvP activities.

As for what I'd like to see finished or fixed? I don't really give a damn about PvP simply because I've never been all too great at it, so I don't see much that needs fixing on the PvE side other than the loot tables need a buff-up.

As for what needs to be finished? Good god, all of it! Everything up to pre-KR. Since the KR client will not be supported then there's no worry to go past that and the server can focus on finally catching the hell up.

So, to conclude, I want don't simply want a "next publish" I would like a guaranteed string of publishes that address each grouping of new content. I suggest the easiest place to start would be the Community Collection as it is fairly independent, but a better place to start would be on the bulk of everything else as all the parts tie into each other in some way.

I do hope you're serious about getting Demise some content updates again, Ryan. It would be a huge blessing and would give the server the extra morale and community boost it needs and deserves.

Edit: I'd also like to point out that I don't care for PvP; at all. In all honestly AoS and the item over skill based system it brought in killed traditional PvP and turned it into this "I HAVE to PvE so I can PvP" kinda deal. I, personally, would like to see the new content and items. It'd give me and a lot of other players a lot more to do than collect the same damn items over and over. Anyway, I will be watching this thread intently.

Heya,

a "simple" thing for me I'd like to see implemented is the transformation quest from human<-> elf. Anything else is a bonus, cheers for giving us some TLC.

In my opinion, it's probably most important to do things properly rather than doing a lot of crappy work, so fixing darts, wraith form, familiars, evasion, and attunement would probably be most important followed by the completion of spellweaving. It would also be nice to see the lamppost in doom obtainable. After all of those unfinished systems are completed, I'd really dig aquariums and other house pets.

We're going to go through this list (since I'm not an ML expert I needed some points of reference of what to look for in game) and see how things look but it shouldn't be too terrible.

Actually we're not using Stratics for formulas (and never really have with RunUO) which is why RunUO is so damn good. We always do our own testing and digging to get any formulas right and gather the necessary data. This isnt something we just pick up off stratics and code. It's just a reference point that I can use to do some data gathering.

That's kind of demanding... I mean keep in mind we do this as a hobby. This is not something we get paid to do and we do run 3 shards. We're trying to give Demise and Divinity both some much needed attention. Hence the fact that they got the new website first... there's a lot of stuff coming but I'm not going to give you a guarantee that we're going to get all of this stuff coded for you in the next month because frankly I don't know what kind of time commitment that's going to take and we've got limited development staff. I could go find someone to hack together some code to make the shard look more ML but that's just not the RunUO way. It has to be done right.
