Wedding Program Information
Demise is pleased to announce that our Wedding program is now available to the public. All ceremonies will be built in a chapel designed for this purpose which shall be accessible only during a ceremony. Following are the guidelines if you are interested in scheduling a Wedding.
Guidelines:
Weddings are to be a thoroughly roleplayed event. Leet dudes and ooc speech and topics will not be permitted during these ceremonies. Even if you are the bride and groom, we will not hesitate to call the event off and send everybody home if it is found that you are wasting our time.
Guests may page to be admitted 20 minutes before a Wedding starts if they are invited. The Seer organizing the Wedding will stop admitting guests when the Wedding is scheduled to start. If you are late, we unfortunately cannot admit you as to avoid disrupting the ceremony, so please be on time. So if a Wedding starts at 8pm, for example, guests may page from 7:40 to 8:00 to be admitted.
Staff will neither give away nor sell any items for a Wedding. Rings, attire, and anything else are up to the players to provide for themselves. This rule is not negotiable. While we will not provide anything, the bride and groom are encouraged to dress themselves in the traditional black and white attire.
Same sex weddings are not permitted. I don't care what you are irl. But it had better be a male and female character roleplayed to be a male and female character. This is not open to discussion. If you start this argument again, I will delete it. End of story.
Scheduling:
Parties interested in scheduling a wedding should send a private message to Selene . Be sure to include an email address you will check often. Provide the name of both the bride and the groom. It is up to the couple to coordinate when an available date is for both of them. The email should include a list of 3 dates and times (preferably not all the same hour of the day) in order of preference that they would like to schedule the Wedding for. A Seer will be assigned to the wedding based on availability. If a Seer is not available for any of the dates you provided, you will be contacted for further discussion. Either way, the Seer assigned to you will email you to confirm the date and the time. For the reason, you should check your email daily.
When submitting a list of potential dates, please request dates at LEAST one week in advance, preferrably more. This allows us the necessary time to assign an available Seer and converse for the necessary planning. If you have to cancel, please do so no less than 24 hours in advance.
Please remember to include your time zone in any correspondance!
The Ceremony
Seers will use a ceremony script which has been prepared in advance. Upon confirming your scheduling, more detailed instructions regarding how the ceremony proceeds will be emailed. It is up to the recipient of the email to forward those instructions to the other person involved.
Any guests speaking or causing disruptions during the ceremony will be promptly sent on a one way trip to Cove. They will NOT be readmitted. There will be a "reception time" afterwards where socializing is permitted.
The chapel features a courtyard with fountains and gardens. A separate bride and groom's chamber allows privacy to prepare for the wedding, and the ceremony room is accessible from either. Upstairs is the reception hall which includes a spacious dance floor, dining tables for both the bride and the groom's guests, and ample buffet tables.
