Depends on if you are talkin govt debt, private, or public. Either way, its from 300 billion to about 1.4 trillion.

It would really suck for the USA if China called in those debts.

China wont ever do such a thing. If they deplete our economy, their investments are worthless. Actually they regulator their currency to be inferior to ours to keep us in a major trade deficit with them. Only the next 50 years will sort out who the fool is...
