Quick and Easy - Updates for early 2016

Is it realistic to keep backups of inactive accounts and have the backup automatically load if someone tries to use their old account? Seems preferable to total deletion for people who might want to come back and play. I know I would've screwed around on Demise at some point if my accounts hadn't been deleted.

We're going to start with software upgrades for just about everything (forums, servers, websites etc...).

Some quick hitters you can expect to see, updates to Sallos, cleanup of inactive accounts (reduce save times, memory footprint etc..), upgrade of servers with a possible location move, possibly distributed login servers to mitigate denial of service attacks etc..

We're putting some things in place already - but expect to see both Krrios and myself out there running around, playing the game etc... getting a feel for what's good, whats broke, what we need to update etc..

We will review the suggestions thread, we will have our own ideas, we will breathe life back into things.

Expect us to quickly revisit the entirety of the rules, revamp rules, clean things up etc..

This list is not complete, nor is it intended to tell you whats coming now or later, it's simply an attempt to let you know we're listening and we'll take your thoughts under advisement.

Your dedication to the shard for all of these years is unbelievable and we appreciate it.

Would be nice if some of the memory issues were fixed. Crashes/invisible houses/etc. when entering custom areas/different faucets. Newer art, mobs, mobiles, etc. causing crashes or not showing correctly. Sound/music crashes.

Most importantly a fix for certain people modifying their clients to add autoheals. Link @1382 is selling his modified sallos client to people like Dylan AKA @-rhythm- and his buddies.
