There is another speed on these things that needs to be adjusted and it is their aggro speed.Though their speed when attacked by spells is not quite fast enough their aggro speed it way to fast.It should be normal MOB speed not the accelerated speed these have right now.
Giant beetles get the paragon speed when they are attacked by spells.Until that happens they keep the same normal speed every MOB has.Not even melee damage will make them speed up on osi

Adapted to SVN 588 and changed beetle base speed to normal.

You must remember to test this as a player not gm. If you're a gm or above,
monsters behave like mad cows if you attack them. They tend to stop,
look left and right like they are crossing a road lol.

I tested this and i couldn't outrun it when i hit it with a spell.
I could outrun it when i attacked it with a sword.

I can't outrun it on foot when I hit it with a spell
I can outrun it on mount and on foot when I hit it with a melee weapon

looks ok to me
