The packetloss is killing me... I rubberband in fights, duels are off, random stuff happens and I resync tiles away... I went from about 40 ping and no packetloss to the above. Any ideas?

Call your ISP and tell them you have major packet loss. You could have a bad cable modem because your losing packets at the server your cable modem connects to.

Indeed, I was experiencing ongoing intermittent issues for about a month. I finally got some sweet data from "ping -t 10.99.16.1" which is the local head-end IP internally and "ping -t 4.2.2.2" which is a DNS server. Both showed consistent nasty packet lost, and from some DOCSIS statistics on their side, we saw the cable modem wish a very high ratio of hits to misses.

Eventually, it ended up being a line problem. The point is to test, test well, and try to pinpoint the source of your problems. I tried eliminating the modem and eliminating specific hosts as the source of mine. Though, I've seen some pretty nasty packet loss in a good number of wireless implementations.

They probably have a faulty modem or maybe line noise of some sort.

That should be fine as long as it's stable without much packet loss. That's less than twice of what my ping is, consistently.

Re: Server Move

I've been getting bad lag since the server move too. I don't know too much about networking, but it seems that I have a bad trace route:

It seems that my problem is beginning with hop #4. Is there anything I can do to improve this?
