Yes, they're rare but they do drop.

There is a colored sextant, map, hat, telescope and shiv. I had them all but, died and lost some then got almost all of them back. Cept the telescope...I think the drop rate changed. Cause now being told they drop but, rare. Seemed common at first. Maybe I was just lucky at the time.

Ya the ones from the docks were for the quest... But, these at the boat are artifacts... Demise uniques! =) My favorite type of rare.
