About the housing "problem", Ryan helped a lot of new players with the new idocs patch, the shard will prolly be crowded with small houses in a few months, huge advantage for the "newbies" since they will now be able to afford a house.

i think youve missed this...

3 years ago, there was a shard wipe.

Alot of people left.

new shard came up

new players arrived

shard is how it is today.

The one thing that will entirely fix Hybrid forever is

BRINGING BACK THE GM WEAPON STANDARD

Disallow any making of non-gm weapons......

I sometimes am pvping and get my mana wiped with one hit, or just get 2 hit killed without any problem. (With Armor on and Flam Sanct) The weapon abilities are corrupt and are extremely harmful to the game.

Faction towns no longer guarded. Faction town guards to be set up by owning faction to have a guarded town (allowing factions to choose if towns under their control be red or blue.)

Custom clothing for these loots would come in 4 or 5 different unique colors, renamed as Gamers wear or something similar; be blessed however they would take damage and eventually destroy.

Smithy bod reward overhaul

Event rings for bombing run and double domination within the game like dueling rings - set up to allow matches for teams of 4 players up to 8 players per side

Players travel center - set up outside guards; players may purchase and name a moongate from the travel center to location of their choice (mall, library, guildhouse, etc);
costs XX gold/uo day taken from bank box.



This is what you do if you want trammel.

-Aggressors cannot enter houses
-No reds in town
-Two houses allowed per IP



Those would vastly improve the shard in my honest opinion. We would have less housing (very good thing) but it would also make it easier for newer players to obtain housing.

Mounts in combat are a terrible thing, IMO. No mounts combined with the aggressor house rule and no reds in town would create a much more lively pvp atmosphere, where fights were played out until they were finished instead of until someone decides to leave. It might lead to larger gank squads though.

I would also make the world smaller and make one additional town (Vesper or Trinsic) guard-free for reds to use.

Think the server is fine, but for continued growth...

Go back to 'young' status - with no pvp allowed as young - under 400 skill points.

change the bod timer to 6 hours

no limit to houses

wipe all thei shitty clothing items (faction lessons, intel inside, etc...)

put the bod system to how it was

no reds in town

bring back brit casino

ingame special hue cloth you buy from vendors for 100k per yard...

auction off all the confiscated houses and shit

a pure death hoody that says "A Super Mining Hoody" that only i will have

a new CUB with new prizes

stupidity banable

no more faction ore sellers

GM corrupt guilds

hero/evil system clothing wearable by anyone

item bless deeds for 5m ingame gold

more hair colors

never release pure again

sexy rewards for bug reporting again

nerf all magic crap after the next CUB i suggested earlier

make PVP slightly more item based than skill/connection speed for the noobs

have all the newbs quit and just leave the people who dont fail UO




i kinda wish the shard woudl have a flashback to about 1 year ago... that was the best...

Hear me out on this one lol. Have something like champ spawns but instead of having powerscrolls have a different reward because powerscrolls are obviously too controversial. Could be anything really whatever the shard likes, special colour robes even I dont know hahah I havent really put much thought into the rewards

I just remember champ spawns when they first came out people were out and they were really fun. I mean the premise of when a blue player dies and gets teleported out with his stuff to a city is either a turn on or off for people. For me its a turn on, not because you keep your stuff but it gets people that are afraid to come out to places that have a lot of people more involved. I remember the pvp was always active and really thats what I am looking for in a shard, a lot of fun pvp action and those times were really fun.

The pvp was great fun, the pvm can be exhilirating not knowing what you could get, also trying to keep away from thieves (not to mention the great fun thieves can have there because of that). Just my opinion I thought it was really fun.

I have tried posting this in the suggestions forum but apparently its not a good enough idea to be OK'd but:

or at least allow thieves to go 4/4 counts

- Stat loss (or something evil that will smite those damn PvPers back into wherever the hell they came from. Actually, Hell would be a good guess.)
- Better rewards from Fishing (Ancient SOS anyone?)
- -30% taxes EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME
- Higher skill cap?

Hybrid is meant to mimic old OSI, higher skill cap would kinda ruin that


I'm surprised so many people want stat loss..

make a veteran reward item (maybe 2-3 years) that let people dye one ethy and then dissapear.
