Another DDoS

Hello,

I'm sure you all are tired of this, and, frankly, so am I. But again, we face another DDoS from Brazil. The perpretrator of this DDoS is someone else in Brazil. In fact, many of the brazillian players know (of) him.

Many of you came from a shard, 'Illusions', run by a Thiago_X. This person jealous at Demise, apparently sees it fit to attack us because Demise is... well, It's demise, Nothing else can compare!

Just hold tight this time, it may be the weekend, but it's NOT a holiday weekend.

The worst part is that it gives you loads of work and keeps you form working on uptades :(

So this DoS is at layer 7 and only targetting the port itself? Interesting, and very, very cheap and script kiddyish.

We can always rotate ports and screw with their minds.

And are the IPs posted for sure DoSing, or just any connections/innocents?

They declare war on us, I say we fight back. Packet wars can get nasty on the internet infrastructure though. :eek:

Nah we won't blow up a whole country, just the person who's doing it. A missle strike should do the trick, and minimize casualties. :D

Nah you'll know how that will end it wont work, crash down on some innocent people and we have to make up stupid lies...and the scary fact is that people will believe us.

To those of you players that are trying to cause problems with Illusions should lay off. This is between the staff/admins to deal with. What you are doing is not fighting for the shard Demise or anything but only gunna give it a bad image. From what i see yer doing this cause you cannot play well that is just plain selfish. Let them alone for it is not their community of players causing the problem. What shard would really want people that feel they can just do the same right back and show to them that players from Demise are causing problems. Well lets just try and grow up a bit and act yer ages. Every wrongful deed never goes unpunsihed as i see it. (Bad Karma) :mad:

Two wrongs do not make a right. We should be patient and to not go into their forum or shard and any other means of communication to flood. We will recover from this as we have in the past, just be patient and have faith that the staff is working on it.

Now I need some of you to quit and give me your stuff since I am poor :D

I just got informed that I am being accused by Demise of the DDoS attacks. I want to make it clear to everyone that I have nothing to do with that, and I don't approve any attitude against any shard, in special the ones controlled by the RunUO community.

I don't know the reasons for accusing Illusions of that, and I will try to make that story clear with Ryan as soon as I can.

I don't support any kind of attack to any server of Ultima Online (or anything else), and I guarantee that our members from Illusions Staff have the same posture on that matter.

(and I can't understand well enough the last paragraph: "Fechei o cadastro no fórum devido a alguns jogadores de lá estarem registrando aqui para floodarem.")

It Means: "I've closed the Forum Registration because some of Demise's players are registering on forum to flood us"

With flood, he wants to say of a lot of messages.

Why don't you people go out for a walk or something? Let the administrators deal with this situation. Acting like crazy people spamming, attacking, and flooding degrades not only yourself but also the shard. Please do not go into their channels, forum, shard, etc. Thank you!

What I think is the most funny is how some of our own members like to reply on here like they are the all knowing parents of the community.

Just because people say they would like to do something to the other shard, does not mean they will.

Ans even if they did, posts on here telling them not to, most likely will not change their mind.
