I completely feel like blood roses should be removed. You already have trinic petals and str pots.

all I am suggesting is every base should be the same all the bases have there own ups and downs but if they were all even then bases would be a non factor in factions

My Three Suggestions:

1. Remove Area of Effect for faction players attacking other faction players.
2. Make wands use mana or make player stop to cast them.
3. Increase weight of bottles/potions from 1 to 2 stones, enough of people rolling out with 250+ potions on them, 1v1's are impossible now.

Why does com and tb get to flood there bases with guards but sl and minax don't?

Originally on Hybrid reds were NOT allowed in towns. This created a categorization of factions. COM/TB were the "Blue" factions, while SL/Minax were the "Red" factions. In the past this worked out very well as even FACTION REDS were NOT ALLOWED in towns. Because of this SL/Minax were the major PK/PKK guilds around Britain and Yew moongates. It was common knowledge that the "Red" factions had the numbers, and the "Blue" factions contained more "skill" pvp groups. The "Red" factions had the benefit of using red NON FACTION players to defend their bases. Faction guards are part of the game, they're NPC and easy to defeat.

I want to thank everyone that has made reasonable suggestions in this thread, and want to again ask everyone to keep the arguments out of this section. Thank you. We can only do so much at a time, but we are going to see some changes, I will make sure of it. Thanks to everyone for their patients. Suzy is our coder, and she is only one person so bare with us.

Also Factions have a background, that is why some Factions are favored more than other "Evil" factions. Not every base is going to be a fun playground, we will work to try and make as many people happy as possible one step at a time.

Also all other suggestions will be ignored and eventually removed in this thread if it has nothing to do with Factions, if you have again REASONABLE suggestions you can post them in the suggestion section of the forum. We are not going to remove mounts from hybrid, not being rude, but this is not a divinity style server. Thanks

You're initial argument was minax and sl were not aloud faction guards because the bulk majority of the faction were reds and they had the outside help of non faction reds to help defend their bases.
Good so far besides "Your", "allowed" and about 3 missing commas.
This is for one not true, and if anything the blue factioners have random blues helping them defend bases.
Ok I'll go slow for you.

Again cause you're having a hard time, Reds => not allowed in town.

SL/Minax raids were done on Blue players vs TB/COM.
The "Blue" factions would not benefit from "random blues" inside the town itself, as the raids would be done by other "Blue" faction players whom they could not attack.

"Guards (NPCs)" do not like red players, they strike them down upon entering towns.
"Faction Guards (NPCs)" do not like player aligned with red players, followers of Minax/SL.
"Faction Guards (NPCs)" display loyalty, they attack opposing factions, TB guards still attack COM, and COM guards still attack TB.

Still with me?

TB/COM raids were done on Red/Blue Players vs SL/Minax.

"Player Killers (PKs)" do not like blue players, they strike them down upon leaving towns.
Since SL/Minax bases are outside of guard zone any player (PKs) could attack the opposing factions trying to raid them.

This is the way Hybrids Faction system used to operate until they allowed (Faction) Reds in town.

Factions have a background, that is why some Factions are favored than other Evil factions.

Strider, how about some kind of benefit for factioning. A signing bonus like the military. (With rules of course so no one abuses).. Or like Weekly leaders in points get something special to wear... OR plus 10 strength for the week..

Interesting point, the benefit used to be cheaper resources but that benefit is no longer very useful.

What about stuff related to crafting/resources?

example:
Better % chance of getting good BODs for faction members in faction owned town.
Colored Ingot/Leather Vendors (for crafting AR/runic weapons) [overpriced of course]

Strider I do miss how explosion pots use to not hit blues in town.... Factioning is suppose to be war, blues getting in the way In town sucks.. Why should they benefit from us factioners dieing... If they wanna get so involved join factions :}

I agree both are unfair at least at com you can avoid the guards a little where as TB its right it front of your face forcing you to 1 tile space sometimes loaded with traps if you want to mess with a base to even out factions you really need to even them all out I mean how many other faction bases have there own stables inside the base.


In all fairness has anyone seen anyone use that stable? LMFAO... Iv fought in tb base over 1000 times.. I haven't even seen anyone use the stable..
