Little bit of easy money for all kinds!
Vets, please post your tips! Help our new players start out well, so we can keep our server growing!
Tips for new players!
Why bother begging players for money?! Wheres the fun in that? If you started as a warrior, take yourself out into the wilds and hunt down cows, bulls, hinds and great hearts to collect leather hides(be sure to use some scissors on them to make them into cut leather) and cut ribs! This will slowly help you gain in your fighting skills and maybe your healing(if your using bandaids).
Make sure to look out for sheep while out hunting, kill them and use your knife to find wool and legs of lamb, and use the wool at the tailors to make cloth for free bandaids!
If your wanting to make money as a Mage, look into getting the Inscription skill, and use some money to buy bank scrolls, and Night Shade. Then, make poison scrolls to sell to the NPC Mages! Its good easy money, and helps you with your inscription skill, which will increase your spell damage!(and also raise your Int while training)
If your doing more crafting skills, look into Tinkering. You'll beable to make all your tools, mine your own ingots! I would suggest you make 'Tongs' under the tools section. They only cost 1 ingot to make, and sell for 7g a piece!(or you can buy ingots from a NPC for 5g each ) Doing this will get you to around 85 tinkering easy! After that, do smith hammers, which sell for 10g each, not as cost effective, but you can mine your own ingots to make up for that.
Anyone else have any easy money tips for new players, post!
Dahlia: Go to the cotton fields(east of Skara Brae is a good place, also, on the south part of moonglow island), pick cotton and then go to a tailor shop, spin it and make it into cloth ... then sell the cloth to the tailor in the shop.
uome: To add a tip of my own do some npc escorts. You can find them in most towns normaly hanging around an inn. Avoid the seekers of adventure if your not good at fighting yet because they want to go to dungeons. You can't recal or sacred journey with these in tow but you can gate them to their destination. If you magery isn't high enough to gate don't be put off it's only a short walk to most towns and. You have to wait inbetween doing escorts anyway so the walk means less time waiting to be able to accept the next one. You will get around 700gp per escort that you do.
ramax99: Make a Blacksmith/Miner, mine ingots, sell colored ones at forum, with regular iron make heater shields and sell them at BS shop.
Hilde: Lumberjack/Bowcraft and/or Lumberjack/Carpentry. All you need is a axe (get a few, they break after a while) and fletching tools or one of the many carpentry tools. Find a spot in the woods with no/few monsters and chop the trees. You can make a razor macro to create the last made item if your weight reaches a certain amount. This way the weight of the wood is reduced
greatly.... It's true, money grows on trees!
all1together2now3: Buy hides for 3gp from a furtrader, cut them up, and sell the leather for 5gp at the tanner.
