Once a noble family in a land in the far west of the world. The Blackfyre's were given a large settlement in the City of Cove. Which they would later seize control from a ruthless king. After news broke out that their first home was obliterated from a volcano. The Blackfyres launched a large scale invasion of Sosaria while using dragons to show power. Overtime each city would surrender or face their full wrath.
Chapter 1: Blackfyre Rebellion
For weeks now, we have heard reports of a small group of brigands settling in various parts of Sosaria. The Royal Council of Britain sent a diplomat to research and greet these foreigners. Roy the guard reports "At first glance they seem like typical brigands, however you'll find something more polished after peeling back the onion. They almost come off entitled. I tried asking about the land they came from and who they are. Their response is always the same, we come in peace and just want a new home." Roy also reported that most of their clothing read the name Blackfyre or had dragons on them. The King of Cove has also reported the largest settlement of these foreigners and has requested additional supplies from Britain.
Britain released the below statement.
"The royal council of Britain understands King of Cove's situation. They're fighting local savages daily and now they're overwhelmed with the largest settlement of refuges. We will gladly help them, as soon as they pledge their allegiance to Britain and join our Kingdom." The King of course has sense rejected this offer. The RcB also made the following statement. "If anyone has friends or family in the City of Cove, we encourage you to leave immediately. We cannot guarantee your safety and there has been many reports of crime."
We'll make sure to update this thread as new reports come in.
Conclusion:
Many viewed the King of Cove's attempt to expel refuges as a heinous act. It didn't take long for House Blackfyre and his loyalist to push the King out of his own town. Even with dire circumstances, the King made a last ditched effort to recapture it. Unfortunately for him, he was slain in the battlefield. Lord Blackfyre later issued the below statement. "I promise to be a just and honest leader. We will not become corrupt with power like the King. Even now, there are other nearby towns with similar corrupt leaders. I will consult with my council and decide on a course of action. Perhaps other towns need to be liberated too." When asked to comment, the Council of Britain condemned these acts as terrorism. They recommend that all loyal citizens avoid travelling to Cove.
Chapter 2: Lord Blackfyre dispatched a diplomat to speak with the nobles of Minoc. He hopes to broker a trade deal for supplies this week. After the meeting, Minoc released the following statement for the local press. "We value Lord Blackfyre's commitment to justice and desire to protect the small folk. Since our policy aligns with his, we have decided to declare our open alliance to House Blackfyre. Anyone who attacks a member of this alliance will be viewed as an enemy."
Update: It's important to note. Minoc has issued several complaints to Lord British in the past. These complaints consist of Vesper intruding on their trade routes, searching merchants as they pass the city and issuing a tax on goods delivered from Minoc. It comes as no surprise that Minoc would value another neighbor as an ally.
Update: In response to Minoc, The Governor of Vesper issued the following statement. "Minoc is playing dangerous politics and we condemn this alliance with the Brigand Warlord called Blackfyre. We're fully aware of their true intentions, which is to provoke Vesper into a trade war. I am left with no choice but to issue a full blockade of all goods from Minoc and Cove."
Update: After a short period of time, the Governor of Vesper has released another statement. "It has come to our attention that the Blackfyre brigands have setup an army campsite near Vesper. In response to this threat, we're giving them one week to remove the campsite or we will have to take lethal action."
Update: After an epic battle between Blackfyre and Vesper's armies. The smoke cleared and showed only Blackfyre loyalist and soldiers. It was later reported that Minoc had sent a group of mercenaries to help seal Governor of Vesper's fate. Now only Blackfyre banner's hang throughout Vesper. A few Vesperian rebels remain hidden in the Graveyard, it is rumored that they're using guerrilla tactics.
Chapter 3: Lord Blackfyre has taken control of Vesper and installed a new Governor to oversee Vesperian trade routes. Thing's seemed calm for a while, however after the sack of a second town. Other cities began to feel threatened. After all, owning one of the most important banking cities, another port town and alliance with Minoc for weapon supplies is enough power to give anyone pause. Lord Blackfyre now has enough gold and access to weapons to fund a huge army. What will he do with this army? Does he have a secret plan all along?
Shortly after the massive defeat of Vesper. Lord Blackfyre met privately with the Bloodclan Orcs south of Yew. Together they announced an alliance against Yew and Yew quickly mustered their army. Yew's Militia would later lay siege on the Orcs in a preemptive move to kill the alliance. This move would be their undoing, as Lord Blackfyre's elite guard sacked an unguarded town.
Chapter 4: After a meeting between Lord Blackfyre and the leaders of Skara Brae to broker an alliance agreement. Skara Brae's merchants and nobles both agreed it's in their best interest to join the Blackfyre alliance. However the minority party of Rangers disagreed and decided to setup a campsite in the west. Lord Blackfyre's army traveled to the city to secure it's protection. They made quick work of the ranger blockade and now have full control over the entire city.
Chapter 5:
After a swift victory from House Blackfyre, they now set their eyes on Trinsic. Trinsic is one of the few cities left to refuse Lord Blackfyre's invitation for an alliance. In a preemptive strategy, Lord British sent a several brigades with a few soldiers from Trinsic to the north. Their goal is to capture the giant guard post near compassion shrine and cut off Blackfyre's supplies to the west...
