Young Tamer question

So I'm trying to raise Taming... while i was out i aggroed a monster, so i quickly tamed a nearby animal and sicced it on the monster... well apparently it didnt die (the animal) and now I'm stuck with a pet, somewhere, that is taking up one of my control slots.. How do i get rid of it? I have NO idea where it is.

Well, short of buying a pet summoning ball, just wait. It'll either be killed or go untamed by tomorrow. And if you don't mind me asking, do you play WoW?

I don't mind, and i don't play.

I dont want to waste real $ on a Ball (though i prolly will once i GM)... i guess ill just wait it out. It'll go away in a day?
