Are your chiv spells as effective if you lose karma from having to cast curse weapon so much? Or is the difference minimal?

I just tested Consecrate Weapon, and I have now 8 sec. "Duration of the effect is affected by the caster's Karma, resulting in 5-11 seconds." - from http://www.uoguide.com/Consecrate_Weapon
I thought must be less... Enemy_of_One - I have 170 sec . "Otherwise it is affected by both karma and chivalry skill ranging from 67 - 228 secs."
I've got 73 chiv right now, i think 60 is too low.

Using a soulstone will now check if you maintain enough skill for any skill-based transformations. (Previously this was only done when unequipping items with a skill bonus.)
