PvM EVENT INFORMATION

INTRODUCTION
PvM events are events noted for being Player versus Monster. Demise does not have an automated system like the PvP tournament system to faciliate PvM events; therefore, these events tend to be more at the discretion of the Seer hosting the event and the times may appear to be more restricted. PvM events are normally scheduled ahead of time which means notification is posted on the Event section of the Demise forums; however, some PvM events may be created spontaneously. For example, a PvM tournament would be scheduled while a monster bash may be spontaneous.

The following listing shows what type of PvM events Demise staff hold on a regular basis:

---------------------------
PvM Tournament
Pet Tournament
Monster Bash
Open Champ Spawn
Net Toss
Mission (im)Possible
---------------------------

Each event is very different from each other due to the nature of PvM. The tournements are manually created so a large amount of time can be dedicated to hosting a single event.

While most PvM events are held in trammel ruleset facets, there is no stipulation that states Felucca cannot be used. If a PvM event is held in Felucca, for instance a net toss is created in Fel, this means that the PvM event has become a PvE event, or Player versus Everything. As with anything, if you are traveling to Felucca, the risk exists of being PK'd.

INSURANCE
One complaint from players is that when participating in a PvM event, insurance is taken out and resources, like reagents, are taken from the pack. This is because the PvM event system is manual and there is no code in place to prevent the loss of items, insurance, or resources. Please be aware of this when entering any event area.

EVENT HEALERS
Event healers are not used for every PvM event; however, when the event healer is used, the players are able to resurrect using the specific healer and have all items returned to him or her regardless of being blessed or insured. However, there are cases when the event healer does NOT return the players items. This happens when the player dies outside the specified resurrection range of the healer.

The event team is aware of this and try to ensure that the entire event area is enclosed in the defined region. Because the possibility exists that you could die outside the ranged area, please insure your items. Do not rely on an event healer to return your items because chances are you can die outside of the defined range.

GENERAL RULES
Each PvM event houses specific rules and these rules should be followed. The primary rule that applies to all events is to not spam or make item trades/sales in the event area.
