problems logging in ( yes i read the how to thing)

this shard does not use a valid client

ok so i installed the 2dLBR version ... and logged in (pre patch) saw all the invisible houses and said to myself ... this isn't right. so i patched. now i'm getting the "this shard does not use a valid client" error ... someone please help ... i needs me my mining fix.

You running razor to start UO?
If not maybe try that..... I had an issue like this and using Razor loaded it and logged on fine...

Aye.. if you're getting that error you're probably using UoGateway.. try just using razor as Max said.

Invisible houses? You mean custom house plots?

They don't show up if your client isn't updated.. some wierd things happen if you don't patch.

Update to 4.0.3d which is the current patch and use UO Gateway 1.9 beta to login.

no need to start getting all techie on me ... it's fixed ... thanx for the info (though only the GM's info really helped) it's the thought that counts ... and as much as i'd like to sit here and voice my appreciation all day long ... this n00bs got some gaining to do.
