Don't kill or even attack the ratmen!!!!
Rats only take one pain spike or fireball to kill.
Be mounted and run full speed with pain spike/fireball precast. When you see the rat pop up (because you have show names on appearance set in razor) grab that life bar using ctrl+shift and pain spike/fireball then run away at full mounted speed. They will hit you occasionally but as long as you keep moving they shouldn't be able to kill you. They might get a few arrows/spells off but just keep moving.
