Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

If you have the [young] tag, look around for champion spawns in Tokuno and Ilshenar. If players are "working them" (as in, killing the spawn in order to summon the champion), stick around until the champion is spawned and killed. A shower of gold appears around the corpse of the dead champion which can be freely scooped by anyone. Use the scavenger agent of razor to pick up as much as you can. Obviously, you can also do this without being [young] still but it is easier if no monster will attack you. Furthermore, you can loot/skin the corpses of dead monsters as most people don't bother with looting them. Do take note that you might not have sufficient strength to carry everything.

---

Utilise your skills. If you are any kind of PvM-er make money and raise your skills at the same time by clearing out the first floor or two in some of the easier dungeons like Shame, Coveteus and Despise. Loot all the gems/gold and skin the corpses for any kind of leather. Most of the stuff on corpses can be sold to specific npc's in cities (gems to the jeweler, armor to the armorer, etc.). Leather is always in demand, the lizard guys in Despise give plenty of spined so use that to your advantage.

--

Once you do have a bit of money you can do the "buy low - sell for more" game, but always play it safe. Only buy low if you are positive you can make at least 10k profit on it. I personally used to buy a lot of gold skulls for 40k on a player vendor somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and sold them easily for 90k on my vendor. 50k profit for doing absolutely nothing.

--

You are allowed 4 accounts. Fill them all up with characters and collect the 1k gold you are given for free.

tbh with like 50k or less u can make plenty with bods, make ur bod chars, train a 120 tailor, did mine includoing scroll under 50k, then fill resets and then either sell the bods or fill them. for the most part u can get the stuff to fill the bods with money from turning in resets

or just get it urself, collecting or whatever

hrsks 250k brsks 2.5m, give it 2 weeks u be doin fine

So, you create 4 accounts full of chars to get bods, and collect bods all day?

1 120 tailor
23 chars with .1 tailor (elves for this as human jack of all trades influences bods u get i believe)
Every 1 hour get 1 bod with your 23 chars, once you have like 400-500 fill them and turn them in with your 120, every time you turn in a bod you can collect one from the NPC. Rinse and repeat, burn the HRSK for armor, sell the BRSK for arties. You are on your way to become filthy stinking rich.

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

Sorry about my ignorance, but 0.1 of tailor get better bods then lets say, 50 tailor? I didn't understand the comment about the jack of all trades influencing it.

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

u get a chance to get leather or bone, i forget which, that is expensive and harder to fill

so u only want .01. although i use humans (jack of all trades) and i get all cloth so no big deal (jack of all trades bein what bumps ur tailor to 30, although its never effected me)

then right u eihter burn hrsks or sell them too, depending on what u want. ur first brsk will take awhile probably as its uncommon to get brsk bods and u normally end up getting duplicats

u just make as many bod runners as u can, u dont HAVE to use all the other slots

also if u want extra cash u can collect smith resets as well, and just sell those,or fill them if u want to make a smith

besides champs, bods are my only income and im doin ok at least lol, still workin on my stuff, i burned hrsks till i had at least ok suits, now i sell everythoing and buy the pieces i need

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

To get the runic kits, don't I need better bods? I'm not sure I know how the reward system works, but back 7 years ago, i would have to fill a exceptional 6 piece barbed leather to get anything good.

thanks for the help

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

no u will prob never get a 6 pc barbed set lol

hrsks mainly come from 6 pc exep leather sets

brsks from 20 exep spined

hrsks arnt tro hard to get hence 250k, brsks 2.5m so u get the idea of when u get each one heh for awhile u prob wont really get anything till u build a base of good bods

http://www.towerofroses.de/bodt-lrw.htm

check that out for the rewards

and im not sure if u didnt understand this part, but u get better bods when u turn in resets with 120 tailor (think u did but just incase u didnt)

Oh, I didn't know I would get good bods as a prize for turning in the small bods with my 120 tailor. Now I understand the process, thanks, and sorry for flood the post!

Its okay. This post is about helping new players aquire wealth, and if you dont understand what we are saying, then asking questions can only help.

Re: Little bit of easy money for all kinds!

what i usualy do is i just make a tailor, collect hides, and make gloves. turns around 10-13gp per hide, so a full backpack that took about 15 minutes to fill can make a profit of around 2k depending on your tailoring skill and how much you can carry. used to use magery for killing, however i found it to be a bit expencive, so now i have tamed 2 timber wolves and just use them. they kill faster than i can with a new char and no lost gold on regs.

Along with the BODs, what worked for me to get me started (at least to buy a 100k house), was to make poison scrolls and sell to the NPC. It's good profit, and very easy and safe to make. Just go to the vendor, train inscription to 30, and inscribe poison scrolls with blank scrolls and nightshade. The more strenght and mana you get, the more you can make at a time.

New players could PM me and I'd pay them to run errands for me.

Just to maximize you economics, buy what you have to in Felucca towns with lower prices such as Britain, Vesper, Magincia, Skara Brae, and sell things in towns with higher than normal prices such as Minoc. They're used to be a server report page that listed the faction stats including town prices and lots of other cool info like how many people have gm'ed each skill. Neither of my two old bookmarks to it work anymore though. Of course if you still have young status you can't go to Felucca yet I don't think. Just watch out for murderers and thieves.

Mark or get runes to just about all towns and/or the main classic dungeons in Trammel and/or Felucca. Get high enough magery to cast gate and escort NPC's. In just a few seconds you can get somewhere from 250 to 700+ gold. Then you just have to wait about four minutes to do it again. So escort NPC's here and there while you're working on other stuff.

Also a lot of resources seem to be doubled as you collect them in Felucca, of course due to risk.
