How can i gm vet?

Yea someone mensioned something about a swarm of insects and u just sit tere and heal ur pet while the insects hit it without danger of pet dieing since they dont do much damage but in a way im kinda new to the whole se aos thing and i dont know much about the new monsters so i was wondering if someone could help me find these and then i can gm vet with my tamer, which his name is actually Sir Xander u will notice me because i ride me hiryu its blue

It is the bees. Put your pet in a swarm of bees and heal him over and over and over.

There is a swarm in Luna, and in Skara Brae that I knwo of off hand. But they are alot of other places as well.

That tactic is a good tactic and it'll get you to gm vet pretty quick with macroing. Here's how it goes:

1- Take a pet (as much hp as possible, dragon for example) to Ilshenar/sacrifice.
2- There's a town there, find it and let your pet attack a meer mage.
3- The mage will summon a swarm of insects on your pet which will keep stinging it
4- Take your pet to a secluded area (your house?) and start a razor macro for vetting it.
5- Go watch some porn for a few hours and when you get back you're gm.

P.s. At low vetting you may want to keep an eye on your pet, since if you fail vet all the time there is a slight possibillity your pet dies..

Another P.s. To end the swarm use a fire based spell on your pet, for example cast a fireball on your pet. Be quick with an "All stay" command behind that fireball if the pet is big, red, and has huge wings or you may well end up fried :D

There are 2 in Minoc, that I can remember off hand. By the arhery traning ground, I believe.

And I have seen your around, you still haven't GMed veterinary? You seemed like a very skilled tamer :) .

all i did was get my bonded horse 'fried' and brought it home and made a razor macro to use aids on it and to hit the cancel button gump if i succeeded in rezzing it. i got great gains :)

That's what I did too ( and you don't even need to click the cancel button) but it'll only work once you get to 80lore/80vet as far as I know, at lower levels, not being able to res pets yet, that won't work..

Yeah thats what I did, at 80 we slaugfhtered a friends NM LOL and sat at luna re-resing it.

But that was back in the days when there were 36 players online and you could divide that by 3 to see how many REAL players were there :p

Good thing is you do not need any skill to make your own bandaids, just shear sheep or if you have cash buy wool etc off a vendor and use a loom to make cloth and then cut them up :).

Also if your trying to GM Taylor you will make a lot of Oil cloth ( well I did ) so you can grab those and cut them up as well :)

You will used about 1800 to 2000 to get to about 80 - 85 and then about 1200 - 1500 or so to get to GM if my memory serves me, but I am old :p

jesus ive used two polar bears to gm my vet, a very complicated macro, but it took like 3 or 4 hours to gm...they atacked one another for 12 seconds, then i started using the bandages, and then it goes again....hehe i didnt know about the swarm of insects :( :D

Hmm...How do I get the bees to attack my bears? I can't get the bears over it, and I can't tell the bears to kill the bees.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok what you do is Tame a bear or an animal with a few hit points, you get the bear to attack the bees, and then give it the command all Guard or simular to get it to stop attacking the bees, you then gate said bear and bees (which are still attacking the bear) back to a safe place, ( NOT LUNA!!!) LOL If you wish or stay where you are.

And then macro vet your bear.

With the 2 bears you have each Bear tamed and then in FEL (not in a guard zone - a boat is good for this as you can get out by yourself and recall back and forwards for more bandies) or in a Guild if in Tram have said bears attack eachother, while you alternate your vetting on each bear ( get 40 dex tho as its much faster)

Alright, I just tried it out. Still no luck. It won't let me target the ones in Skara Brae by the bank. Any other suggestions?

Did you read the bit about NOT IN TOWN or a guarded area?

You need to be outside of town or eles you can go red and get wacked :p

Thats why I said a boat is good for this sort of thing, it gives you some protection from PKs if they cant see you :)

I don't remember seeing where you said not in the towns :) .

And where are bees that aren't in a guarded area? And now I am assuming you mean tha I have to be in Felucca, aswell.

In Ish there is a spot that the guys who used bees went too, I used Bears much easier for me LOL but I am lazy.

Yes to have pets attack eachother you have to be in FEL or in a Guild for Tram, as far as I know unless its changed in the last Pub
