Besides quarterstaff, I kinda like the CLUB as well.

Quarterstaff and a club are good sidearms to consider when stocking your secondary weapons

Always good to have a secondary weapon to deal with thieves, and to use on pets/spawn/reskilling so as to not damage your primary weapons durability
