Standard Key Hunt:

Keys will be placed on monsters around the world (all facets). They will all be in the world and will not respawn on any mob. Find a key - find the matching chest hidden in Ilshenar.

There are 20 real keys and 20 fake keys. This means half of the keys found will not work at all. In the 20 chests, we have smaller generic prizes to bigger more fun prizes. No worries - there won't be any 10 use val hammers ;)

Keys will begin appearing on the mobs at 4pm EST (approximately 5 hours from this post) and the chests will be available until MIDNIGHT EST. After midnight, any key found or not used will be null and void.

LAST STATUS: 5 of 20 chests found.

Question:
Will the keys be added to existing monsters or you can kill multiple monsters in one place and have a chance to get a key?

Did you forget to edit or are the keys going to be around before the chests?

Keys will go out at that time. The chests will be out a little before and stay out until midnight. The event can't obviously start until the keys go out :)

So the chest are in Ilshenar only? So it's out for reds to open a chest? They have to pass keys off to blues? Not that i have a red char or anything, just wondering.
Oh and by the way, i'll gladly meet any red in fel and take their keys for them and try them on chests!!! *smiles sweetly*

Its been determined. There are 40 total keys but only 20 will work. You are right in that reds cannot get to open the chest, they will have to pass their keys to a blue character to get to Ilshenar. I put the chests in Ilsh so that people cannot just go out and mark 20 runes. They have to run to them.

Just a note the chests are going out now so if you wanted to get a head start in looking for the actual chests - you are more than welcome to do so. The keys are NOT available yet and will not be placed in the world until 4pm EST (approximately 1 hour from now)

so keys may be found in any dungen? fel or tram.
also would doing the sleeping dragon give them?
