Can't connect after patching?

The latest patch of the UO client (5.0.6-5) had revised login encryption included. This change has broken *every* encryption removing program out there (UOGateway, UORice, Razor, and ConnectUO).

Now for the good news:
A new version of ConnectUO is out (see http://connectuo.com/release/ConnectUO_Latest.rar for details)
A new version of Razor is out (Find it in the RunUO.com downloads section or on http://razor.runuo.com/download.php (changelog: http://www.runuo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77507))

Unfortunently I have not seen Mr. Fixit (the creater of UOGateway) in quite a long time. This means that we do not know when, if ever, UOGateway will be updated for this change. ConnectUO is the RunUO team's replacement for UOGateway. It is currently in open Beta, but it already includes most of the features UOGateway users are used to, and several that they are not.

Wow, you guys are at it again.

Just want to thank you guys for all the hard work you put into this. I'm sure I am not alone when I say that the work you guys do is GREATLY apprechiated.

WTH really? demise isnt even near the top ten on connectuo? honestly? seriously? :confused: :( :confused: seems unlikely...demise rocks so hard....im confounded...bewildered...mortified...'


at any rate, AWESOME to hear some news from the front =) thx asayre you work does not go unappreciated!

still cannot connect :(. I have the latest razor and connectUO, searched the web for uo 5.0.6a client, and still nothing .... :(

I can't Login either. Before patching, in Between Patches, Or after patching, It patches up to 5.0.7.1 (patch 38) now.
I can login to the other to Shards.

Tryd ConnectUO, Razor, Gateway.

Guessing not updated for this patch? But is Demise up to ythat patch or what client is it looking for? I really wanna try Demise out :(

You don't download a patch. You let UO patch iteself.

I tried deleting all the contents of the patch folder but when I try to patch, it just says this: Your client may not be the most recent version. You may be able to play the game with your current client. Check http:\www.uo.com for help on resolving patching issues. Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort. And there is no patching going on. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!

There should be a file "patchlog" in your UO directory. If you open it in notepad and look near the bottom, it will say which file couldn't be patched.

I get this message "Error reading okay message from socket,
Wrong protocol version" whenever I try to patch
