The department has been flooded with questions for the past few days, from the obvious to the bizarre. For this reason, the sheriff will take reporters' and the general public's questions this Friday:
The Britannia Police Department announces that its first Press Conference will take place this Friday (03/04/11) at 7 PM PST/9 PM CST/10 PM EST.
The press conference will take place in The King's Men Theater, in front of the Conservatory of music, in Britain. This is, of course, located roughly between the West Bank and the graveyard.
The sheriff will be fielding questions and refreshments will be provided afterward. The building has been booked for two hours and has a set maximum occupancy, which the fire code prevents us from exceeding. Like any other law, this will be enforced. All attending officers will be taken off duty for the duration of the conference, to be able to serve their purpose there.
The following is a concerned officer's statement:
" The most frequently asked question seems to be how to join the police force. Young people from all over the globe want to do their part, but most cannot seem to figure out how. Those who have joined are gaining seniority over those who don't know how. This should make it more clear:
1) Finish training the skills of your choice to an acceptable level.
2) Make sure you can live by the rulebooks (located on the desk at the police station), any officer can direct you there.
3) Make sure you have an acceptable name extrapolating from the following guidelines. You can make a donation of $3 to change your name (http://www.uogstore.com/hybrid_store/products.php?product=Character-Name-Change-Deed) or bring someone with a better name:
Absolutely not: PeekayChuu, Rager's Slave's Ghost, asdf555, etc.
No: Black Plague, Purple Rain, General Grievous, Link, etc.
Almost But No: Crimson Sky, etc.
Baaarely: Skye Crimson (that *could* be a name), Maxwell Payne (same).
Exceptions: There are some names that would normally fall in the "no" category, but would still be acceptable. You can talk to the sheriff about it. If you don't want to risk it, play it safe. It does not have to be a famous cop name, just a name that can pass as respectable. When all of this is done, contact the sheriff directly or through an officer.
