50-GM Provo in 6.5 hours

ok i recently got to GM provo, and i have 7 hours of [Young] status left
i thought i would let everyone in on how i did it

Things you Need:
GM Music - macro this to GM takes a few hours
50 Provo - start with 50 when you make a new char
[Young] i really recommend this
10-15 instruments - Buy them from a tinker ( inside moonglow bank )
Razor - makes macroing easier (search elsewhere on how to use it/ download it)

What to do next:
ok, so you have your instruments (buy all the same type), [young] status, and GM music
i started at the Tokuno Champ spawn, provoking Kappa's onto other Kappa's, and kappa's onto Runewatch beetles, once i reached 60 skill, i left there and i headed over to Terrathan Keep

being [young] comes in real handy, because if you hang around outside the keep where the orphidians spawn, you wont be attacked.

ok i started provoking stuff onto each other, and i was failing allot, but i gained everynow and then, so i stayed around, then i noticed and Knight Errant sitting on a ledge/cliff, and a orphidian Avenger at the bottom of the ledge, i provoked them onto each other, and to my surprise, when i was successfull they couldnt go into mellee range. because there was a cliff in the way (this spot is like at the last corner before you reach the keep) close to where you get the msg if you enter here you will be attacked.

so i then decided to see if i could provo A onto B and then B onto A, and still get gains, so i set up my razor macro like this

Use skill provocation ( just select it from the skills list )
wait for target cursor
absolute target ( target creature A )
wait for target cursor
absolute target ( target creature B )
wait 10000 ms ( aka 10 secs )
Use skill provocation ( just select it from the skills list )
wait for target cursor
absolute target ( target creature B! )
wait for target cursor
absolute target ( target creature A! )
wait 10000 ms ( aka 10 secs )

now set it to loop
and let it run, i went from approx 63-100 on these 2 monsters
(this is the macro i used) but i was watching the computer and the TV, so when i broke and instrument, i was there to select a new one to use.

now you going to break instruments, and if you want to be tricky you can add into your macro
if sys msg " what instrument shall you play? "
target "instrument" err this is kinda hard to explain, but when you first log in you get this msg, when you play you instrument the first time round) just target you instrument, then in razor, convert it to target by type) and it will target for example a lap harp when ever you get that msg,

let me recap that macro with the tricky bit

that macro should work, if you do it right, i hope i have explained it easily enough

ok now on these 2 monsters it took me 5.5 hours to get from 63 approx - 100

i hope this is faily easy to understand, it is getting late here, im pretty tired

i hope this can be helpfull to anyone else wanting to make a Provo bard, personally, i prefer these to tamers

Pros v Cons

Pro's
if you find the macro spot i was talkin about, you dont have to walk anywhere
you can macro it while watching tv/porn ( whatever flicks your switch )
its quick and easy

Con's
if your not [young] dont bother orphidians and nasty mofo's (try something else )
if you do that macro step i was talking about, you wont get any phat loot, becasue nothing dies
thats about all i can think of

P.S if you feel, this should be in the player guides section, feel free to move it (if you possess the power to do so ), personally i think it will, because you dont have any info on provo/bard skills

nice guide, now on gm music don't know how u gm this skill but here's my tip lock disco, go to fel with a horse or something and say "all guard me" and start macroing disco on him. U will be gm in no time

i think you got a little muddled at first, but yeah, i havent done disco, so i wouldnt know

music is easy just macro yourself dbl clicking an instrument over and over

Peacemaking make a macro use skill peacemaking and target yourself
if you want to be tricky add that "if" command with razor, so you dont have to worry about breaking instruments

target "lap harp"

yes u can gain music by playing an instrument but u have to pause when playing an instrument, with disco u dont have to pause. So ur macro could be

Use skill discordance
wait for target cursor
absolute target ( target horse)

and then just loop it.

an easier way to not hafta worry about instruments breaking is jus record razor double clicking an instrument and then convert it to dclick by type. ur macro should look (sorta) like this...

double click (lute)
useskill (bardskill)
wait for targ
exec; targ
pause 10 sec

or something to that effect, that way when a lute (or whatever) breaks it'll just click another one...

and with what Melethon said, just lock ur discord at 0 and use the skill on a horse or whatever with no delays and you'll gm music real fast

Found a great spot to macro Provoke up, and you don't even need to be Young to do it.

It does require a boat though.

Wyvern Island! I used one of the Rune Libraries at Luna to find the place. Go there, quickly drop your boat and get on. The island seems to be divided into three sections on the radar/minimap, you want to position your boat between the bottom two sections.

Wyverns in the top section can't get to wyverns on the bottom section, and if you aren't Young they'll all bunch up on the shore trying to get to you. If you're young, just go into War Mode and double click one on each half to get it to the shore. Then you provoke them onto each other all night long.

Not sure how high this will take you, I'm at about 60 right now and still going.

Now i got a problem, i took so long to gm music and now i have only 1 hour of young status ... my provo is 81.8 and its sure that i will not achive 100.

Where i can finish my provo, cause i need to find another place, more safe, dont know.

well I would suggest go to some champs if you have people to go with, for example on neira, stay behind the tamers/fighters and provoke. Rotting corpses give pretty nice gains and you should be able to get to 100. And from 100 up... well i dont have even the sightest idea
