Animal Taming Bug

Bama

Bug Huntress
On Demise
Tell your pet to guard you (make sure it is)
Lore your pet to make sure it is wonderfully happy
Mount your pet
Soul stone taming and lore
This frees up anywhere from 200 to 240 skill points
Do not give your pet another command
Dismount
The pet will attack whatever or whoever is attacking you
Feed it about every 15-20 minutes to keep it loyal
Here is an added bonus to how it works on Demise

Even if it goes wild you still have about an hour before it really goes wild.So if your pet dies and it is wild you can resurrect it

On OSI
Tell your pet to guard you (make sure it is)
Lore your pet to make sure it is wonderfully happy
Mount your pet
Soul stone taming and lore
Do not give your pet another command
Dismount
The difference on OSI is it will do a skill check to see if you have the proper skills to control the pet
It will not attack (unless the pet is a kirin/unicorn and there is a negative karma creature/player around) what is attacking you.It will even walk away from you

no idea why you typed all this but in osi if you drop animal lore and taming you are still able to ride the pet ? just able to ride it no command or w/e

On OSI
Tell your pet to guard you (make sure it is)
Lore your pet to make sure it is wonderfully happy
Mount your pet
Soul stone taming and lore
See you can ride it
Eventually it will lose loyalty and buck you off
But you can ride it

The difference is that a pet on OSI that requires taming and lore to control will not guard you if you do not have the skills to control it whether or not you give it commands but as long as you are the owner you can mount and ride it

Said so, looks like the only issue is
"When guarding, a pet should do a skill check to effectively guard you and if you don't have the skill (your taming vs taming difficulty?) it will just follow instead to guard attacking enemies attacking you"
Correct?
This does NOT apply on horses right?
