What is the best way to raise your lumberjacking? Fighting with an axe, or chopping down trees?
Both these methods are effective ways to increase your lumberjacking skill. Each has its advantages.
Sparring is certainly the fastest and easiest way to raise the skill, as it is virtually automatic. Fighting players, monsters and animals can yield rewards such as gold and hides. Chopping wood can be slower going, but wood is useful to tinkers and carpenters and can be sold at a profit. Chopping wood also carries considerably lower risk than fighting.
