Extension to combat restriction area to the stairs

At the border of arena it is considered an area combat restriction area, but it does not say. Players are able to sit at the stairs of the arena without getting hit, but that's not real the problem. The problem is that players are also able to command all kill with their pets and not get hit at all. Players that do this are able to call their pets back to the arena zone to safety. That "combat restricted area" should be extended to the stairs.

How can you call that a combat restricted area when the player is given privileges to attack and retreat on the borders of the arena.

that is also like the ability to summon creatures. there are signs and you can page and actually have them jailed or warned most the time.

would be nice to see it made into a completely inactive area no spells or commands. no real reason there should be anything able to be casted.

i think limiting it to 1 tile accessible only after finishing a duel (to stop ganks after finishing a duel.) or giving a player a 10second invul period that they cannot attack in (very easy to add in) and removing the safe area all together.

I like the safe area. Sometimes I'll go to the duel pits to find someone to duel, or sometimes I'll just watch a few. I do this on my red, and I'm not alone in that.

Instead, there should just be no benefit to sitting there. Murder counts should not decay, handouts should not be received, skills should not gain, summons should be disabled, and pets shouldn't follow commands other than "stay."

Move duel pits to trammel? Like event areas, completely separate these combat restricted areas from the normal game map? Big change but it would keep them from being used for other things. Gates to reach them? Delucia might not ever be the same lol.

Re: Extension to combat restriction area to the stairs

I'm no fan of the combat restricted areas but honestly do you think all those people sitting in there would be out on the field if they did away with them? They would probably be in their houses on just not logged on at all.

They may suck but without them there wouldn't be nearly as much action.
