I like the idea. I came across the problem of filling my friends list (there is a limit) which sucks if you have a rather large guild. This sort of thing can go along with Guild Alliances + Guild Paper-doll Button, as one big Guild Update package. :}

I can see this being used to friend people but not coown them. Oh, and once they are considered a friend it would have to have the ability to remove them so you can coown them.

Seems to me it would amount to very huge lists the server must maintain on every guildhouse. That could be a problem. As it stands now there is a limit. If your guild has 300 people thats a lot of info the server has to remember.

How about a house having "slots" similar to taming slots.. co-owners worth 5 friends worth 1?

is that even possible?

Yea, co-owner status might be reserved for officers or something, you can just designate that on your own

nevermind multiple guild houses, you should only need 1 per guild,

and this would not friend a player, this would designate them as a guild member(separate level of access that is identical to friend status)
that would allow for co-owner status to be used as well and would make sure that you don't lose your friend slots by having a guild house

or we could make a separate rule-set for guild houses, make it an option along with public or private house where it automatically treats a guild member as a friend of the house

This is actually something that makes sense, but getting things that make sense implemented is a task in itself.
