This event will be a weekly 1v1 Tournament.

Details
Wednesday nights, weekly
9:00 pm MST (11:00 EST)
Entry Fee: 10,000 gp per participant
Gold prize equal to half the total entry fees paid out to first place.

Other Information/Rules

The tournament ruleset will be a 1v1 7x standard +potions; no strength pots.

Spectators who want to watch the event will be charged a 2500gp entry fee.

This is a 1v1 tournament, not a fair. Do not come to the arena to sell items or advertise.

Do not spam the arena. This creates lag for the players fighting.
It is unsportsmanlike behavior, rude and not acceptable.

Players who cannot conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at this event will be banned from the event arena, no warnings, no exceptions.

The 2500gp will cut back on the number of people in the arena. There is no real need for spectators so if you really want to be there, you'll need to pay to get in.

basically the same reason you have co-pays with insurance...to make sure you just don't go to the doctor every time you have a headache.
