Yeah I read a post about that earlier. That would suck to lose 700k+

What I usually do is to get the seller to bring out another beetle/drag/WW/mare/kirin or something that takes at least 2 follower slots and have it visible (ie. beside him or riding it). That way, he won't be able to have another hidden somewhere else.

Having him change the name of the pet you are buying helps too
