Fix Archery -

Archery is pretty much a useless skill in todays PvP. It's to slow and it's not doing enough damage compared to these fast runic weapons that you can make. I believe something should be fixed with bows. Possible make the heartwood kits that are in game now. Make them like runic kits, or possibly just speed up the bows or increase the damage. A solo archer is pretty much useless against a dexxer or mage in todays UO. Anyone else agree comment away with your idea's.

Archery is slow for a reason, faction runics require you to be within 1 tile of someone, while bows are 8-9. Now would it be fair if you had a runic bow hitting someone from 8 tiles away, at the same speed+damage of there runic spear? If archery was changed in this way it would probably cause more problems... however. I suppose somthing could be fun.

I don't have any ideas of how to it without it being godly, but anything would make me happy because my archer is getting dusty...

Runic kits for bows would be nice, but how do you obtain those? Would probably require a totaly new system (BOD's or whatever).
Best way would be to increase the swingspeed on them imho. maybe also add new ammunition. say like poison arrows or maybe exploding arrows. archery + poisoning = deadly poison arrows maybe archery + alchemy = extra damage on exploding arrows just some ideas. ![]() WTB a 3 Year of UOG Shirt..................aim: j12427912 |

Yeah! How about adding 'poisoned oil cloths' or something that you poison your arrows with, runic bows, or simply orcish bows(Orcish Archers/Bows)
