A mage/tamer with high level nightmares is almost unbeatable. at least make it so that the mounts have to be released (eg magic arrow or something) before they can simply hop on them and ride after you!

You have my vote. Hopping back on the mount to unparalyze it seems like an exploit bug to me. Unless we are supposed to believe that the rider is shoving a big stick in his mount's ... ah nevermind.

RP wise,
John hops off his mount to tell Killer to give him the full furry of it's skills. Furry flails about and release a horrable flame from it's bouls. Darek looks at the Nightmare with fury in his eyes, he whispers 3 short words and in that instance Killers body is paralized. John quickly noticed the pain in Killers eyes, he throws himself on to killer giving him a hard kick, and together they return to combat all the while Darek flee's for his pathetic life. That's your answer end discussion, laughs* If anything should be changed about paralyzing mounts it should be that peacemaking be made an offensive spell. It's retarded that an outsider who's not even going to try to involve themself in combat can cause your pet to stop in it's tracks, and be completly useless in battle. Sure if my pet flags grey go ahead and peacemake it, but if I'm chasing oranges around town as a red. That's just bullshit. |

I think that you should be able to hop on to it, but if you hop off it should either stay paralyzed or when you hop on the paralyze counter just hops to your character, because obviously you can't move if your basically riding a statue...

You should have to do something that will unparalyze it like normal. Like casting a magic arrow at a paralyzed pet to free it. Although I will admit, that the whole paralysis system has its flaws. The idea of a paralyzed person being able to wiggle a finger and somehow manage to open a trapped pouch just doesnt cut it for me either. If a person is paralyzed, he shouldnt be able to unparalyze himself by such a method. But since spell resistance doesnt do squat to prevent paralyzation, who knows. There is a reasonable argument on both sides of this coin I think.

see, i reckon if your pet is attacking something.....u shoudlnt be able to ride it, it SHOULD have a battle timer so u cant just get straight back on it, if your gonna make your 2 mares attack someone you should run the risk of losing them (if bonded - who cares?) so say a 1 minute timer that u cant get back on mount because its still in combat and is raged.?

i tested the explode a mount thing and that does NOT work. if you explode and they remount it it does not explode the mount from under them. if you can explode a mount from under the rider i would surely love to see it
