Re: H1N1 Shot

Meh.

I've never had a flu shot and I rarely ever get the flue. My immune system is strong.

I think people who always get shots should get it though.

Swine flu doesn't exist.

Re: H1N1 Shot

No point in getting that shot. Next year you will have to take another one and so on.

The only reason I see for someone to take it is if it's a weak person who already got some kind of illness or whatever. Except for that, it's just a way for the medical companies to make money.

People die every year in of the "flu". It's not the flu that kills, it's them beeing already weakened.

Re: H1N1 Shot

Swine flu is BS. More people die from regular flu. When I was in EMT school we had a patient who had swine flu. We had a firefighter (here, our fire department is who does EMS stuff) who'd had a patient with swine flu a couple days before. He was required to go to the hospital here by the Safety Officer (who said it was BS anyway), the doctor at the hospital said it was BS, and the other 19 firefighters outside who'd all been exposed said it was also BS. I didn't even know my patient had it until she told me just before we got to the hospital.

Not one of us let out the first cough. Swine flu is a scare tactic, just like economy, gas, and the war (which by the way only costs $2.30 per year for each American taxpayer). Can't get a job? Go to school. Gas cost too much? Quit driving an SUV. Worried about swine flu? Efforts are better wasted on worrying about leading causes of death like heart disease, stroke, and cancer (smoking causes all three, alcohol actually prevents all three).

It reminds me of all the vaccines they gave me in boot camp. Crap that's only found in the jungles of Africa and South America, where there's no people to fight a war against anyway.

I heard someone very healthy and sportive died of it, well heard... on tv right... That's what made me change my mind. And no thank you, I don't wanna end up in my bed for one week missing my class then flunk it, I pay for those classes. That h1n1's not a swine flu like the others, other flus don't have as many symptoms.

And if you get that vaccin, well you help the weak people that won't get it from you, if you don't you're just a selfish bigget (Well not you, wkstrm, but like you as general) who overestimate his capacities.

In one of the leading Swedish newspapers they wrote about this "perfectly healthy" man who died. They used two pages to write about this. Two days later they put in a small notice on one of the pages saying the guy who died 2 days ago had a "hidden" hearth disease. So far everyone who has died has either been ill or infants/babies.

Damn, you edited, now I have to reply to that too.

Well, the easiest way to prevent this flu from spreading is to keep a good personal hygiene. The best remedy is actually just plain soap and water + common sense.
