Playing UO on a laptop. - 09-06-2008, 06:20 PM

Hey. I was considering getting back into UO:H, however if I did play it would have to be on my laptop. Obviously the ideal setup is on a desktop, but I was wondering how the gameplay is for those who are using a laptop. I'll be definitely getting an external mouse, but even then I'm wondering how the PvP is and if the overall gameplay is difficult for those using laptops. Thanks.

I don't really pvp, but it runs fine on my laptop. It's an older one too, with crap integrated SiS graphics and a Sempron 3000.

Takes some time getting used to, that's for sure..I played using a laptop for 2 years..Got so used to it that I am having hard time adjusting to a desktop now..

It is about the same as a Desktop, only the keys are tiny as hell and compact :x not to mention im kinda screwed on hotkeys via no numpad, but you can always buy a usb one ^^ Overall it isnt too bad.

I use one. The wireless connection is about the same as a direct connection on my desktop. I prefer the flat, smaller keys on it then a regular keyboard. It might take some time adjusting, but overall it's about the same. Use what you're more comfortable with.

Thanks guys. I appreciate all your input. I'll probably buy the USB numpad also. Hotkeys will probably be a huge hassle otherwise.

Using numpad binds can be tricky.
