Why is chat system disabled?

I think it would be cool to have the chat system re-enabled so we can communicate with everyone on the server easier and set passwords for our own guild and stuff..

UOG uses IRC and Ventrilo instead of an ingame chat system.

Well UOG is stupid and needs to put the chat system back like it was ment for its much easier to access and alot more people would use it than irc. Find others in game kinda like [who yah know??????

it would be better that way i would much rather have to type ina person name to see if there online then sign on messagers and irc or vent

I agree. The chat system on OSI was awesome because they had a newb channel for new players and others kinda like general and then they had where you could set up your own channels and password protect them, I have no clue why this was disabled gg for stupid idea.

tbh i dont like irc or vent i have no mic so it sucks for me and no im not going to buy a mic cause im a broke ass

and im to broke to move out of my area to move to a place with cable for ventrilo and hardly anyone in game uses IRC so hard to see whos playing and im sure alot of people would use the chat system amirite?

at least a pm message system would be nice, so you can Private Message someone in game when they are selling something you're interested in. Instead of trying to talk over Brit Bank Spam

Yah, either re-enable the damn chat system or script a menu where you can search for players that are online. Chat system would be better you wouldnt have 500 people PM spamming you. Goodnight I shall log!

Some better universal chat system would be splendid. I have ventrillo, but no microphone right now since I broke it by running it over with my chair [whops!]. It would be nice to have a way to talk to people in game through server chat or a PM system. Or even having a roaster with your guild to show who is online and being able to message those who are would be nice.
