Another few bands also that I missed off my list are Muse and Placebo
Muse - I'm not to keen on they're new album (supermassive black hole) but if you go back to absolution's reign, then i was a huge fan. Butterflies and Hurricanes is THE best song of their genre! as it incorporates basic composition with some mind-blowing riff's (i prefered TV version though as they used guitar for the minor-bridge after chorus, whereas the album used piano).
Placebo - Haven't heard much of their new material (IE stuff from med's). But placebo are just amazingly complex, from pure morning to loose your taste, all of it is mindblowing! Malko FTW!
