I would suggest anti-virus.
If in windows enviornment check your processes. Use the netstat command from the command prompt and look for anything out of the ordinary.....
download both spybot search and destroy AND adaware and run those. If you run all 3, anti/spybt/and adaware and you find nothing, it's most likely another issue.
also in windows you could try to search for run and runonce and check to see if anything weird is starting with your PC. Also try running MSCONFIG from the run command in the start menu ( winxp ) and go to start up. disable everything and see if you still have issues.....
