[SVN] [Xavier] Greater Mongbats not reconized in quests (ME)

I did both collector quest and hag quests yesterday.In the collector quest the toymaker required a 'mongbat' picture. I tried both mongbats and greater mongbats in Trammel and Ishenar but neither was recognized. (Please note this is not user error, as I had no problem with any other creatures). In the Hag quest I was required to collect 5 mongbat wings, again same issue the quest didn't reconize when I killed mongbats or greater in various locations. May be a problem with the mobile ID's?

Anyway I paged staff and was advised to post here.

I just did the collector quest and i couldn't take a picture of a greater mongbat but the normal mongbat worked fine.
Checked on Demise client 7.0.3.0

I'll go do the hag quest soon.

Did the hag quest a few times and when mongbat wing is required in the recipie i cannot collect it from greater mongbats but have no problems harvesting it from normal mongbats.

So the INITIAL issue isn't a problem (Regulars not being recognised), it's just Greaters, right?


How does it work on OSI? Can you use Greaters for the quests, or Regulars only?
It may be that since the quests ask for Mongbats that it ONLY uses Mongbats (and not Greaters)



(Simply put, the quests were created before Greater Mongbats were in existence on OSI or RunUO, thus this would be an easy fix *IF* OSI handles it that way)

Mongbat and greater mongbat both work for the quests on OSI
Just as for the Hag Quest hind or greater hart works when you need to get 5 deer hearts or the chicken and the greater chicken both work for the 5 chicken gizzards
Same as lizardman or lava lizard works for 5 lizard tongue

Ok, easy enough. Just add a check for "Greater Mongbat"

Or, for future updates, change it to a check for the Mongbat Mobile ID

If you inherent greater mongbat from mongbat, that should fix the problem too.

Here. Since its only one critter involved and this code isnt run very often at all, the easy way is probably fine.

First version of patch removed, check last page for new

Mongbats and Greater Mongbats are now recognised in the Collectors Quest, the rest of the quest completes normally so this quest is fixed.

Tested the hag quest with uome and our findings are:

Greater mongbats are NOT recognised in the Hag Quest, it will only take normal mongbats for the mongbat wings ingredient.

Tested with Uome findings are:

Collectors Quest: Greater Mongbats and normal Mongbats are recognised for pictures.

Hags Quest: Greater Mongbats and Normal Mongbats are recognised for Mongbat wing ingredient.

All seems good to go with this now.
