[SVN] Placing Houses Next To Dirt Roads/Spots

Behavior on Demise: If an individual attempts to place a house near a dirt road, patch, or any other dirt related area, the house must be at least 1 tile away from the said dirt area.

Behavior on OSI:
If an individual attempts to place a house near a dirt road, patch, or any other dirt related area, the house may be created with no 1-tile separation.

Supporting Documentation (URLs): I have none at the moment.

Changes needed: A code needs to be made where a player may place his/her house next to a dirt substance, and no 1-tile separation will be enforced.

Here we are. This should let you place over those damned annoying tiny dirt patches too (you can on OSI) - the ones that just consist of corner/edge pieces.

Tested on Demise TC:

I have tried many locations and tried silly placements like accross roads, moongates ect. This all seems to be working as described.

No problems found. :)

Then tested everything on TC.

Everything is OK. :)

Takes at least five days of testing before it's moved.


In the future, please don't jump the gun :-P

Side question: Was it tested to make sure it doesn't let you place ON a dirt road?

I tried and you can't: you can build immediately near a dirt road but you can't build "ON" the road.

I tried several roads and i couldn't find one. If you can think of any that are narrow or winding possibly made up of just corner or edge pieces you might be able to place there but i couldn't think of or find any.

Yeah, sorry if I didn't state that in my earlier post.

Also, sorry for asking so early, I guess I didn't read how long the processes take (From Testing to Ready to Complete ect).

But yeah, I have tried roads and major dirt spots (like in the O.P., the huge dirt mound in the rocks) you can NOT place over it. Which is as OSI. :)
