With regards to the crafters event, you can take pets into this event, but they will need to be stabled or dead before you can leave.

do we need 400 skill points in crafting skills or do we need exactly the skills listed?
because it sucks having 640 points in crafting skills and not being allowed to participate because i dont have lumberjacking or mining.

  1. You must have either GM Blacksmithy or GM Tailoring
  2. You must have either GM Fletching or GM Carpentry
  3. You must have either GM Tinkering or GM Arms lore
  4. You must have either GM Lumberjacking or GM Mining
So for example a template with : GM Blacksmithy, GM Carpentry, GM Arms Lore & GM Mining.

More than GM (100.0) in the listed skills will allow entry too, FYI. For example, a template with 120 Blacksmithy, 100 Carpentry, 100 Arms Lore, 100 Mining.

Basically the entrance has 4 "requirement rooms" you must pass through. The first room can only be passed through if you have 100+ Blacksmithy (using the first teleporter) or 100+ Tailoring (using the second teleporter). Then, the second room checks for Fletching or Carpentry, and so on. So, you need at least one skill at 100.0+ for each of the four pairs.

If you have 100 Blacksmithy, 100 Tailoring, 100 Carpentry and 100 Arms Lore, for example, you will get stuck in the last entry room if you don't have Mining or Lumberjacking, despite having 4 craft skills.

The whole point of this is to only allow crafters entry, but also to limit the number of fighting skills they have. It would perhaps be better to just require a total of 400 points over all crafting skills, we may change it to that in the future (but not for this event). :)

How do +skill items play into this?

Can I, for example, have 95.0 LJ with Mel's hatchet (for 100.0 total) and pass the skill check teleporter?
Base skill counts for the teleporters, so any +skill items are not counted. You would need 100.0 base Lumberjacking. You can still bring your Mel hatchet though. :)

For the house deco event, does the toon name we submit have to be the same one that's on the house sign?

It has to be your house that you are entering with, So if the name is not the same we will be checking ownership. :)
