SUMMER FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday, August 27th & 28th, 2016
Festival grounds open on the 26th at 12 pm Eastern
and close on the 29th at 10 pm

Events prior to the festival​

​
House Design/Deco Contest: closes Thursday 25th August 12 pm.

Rules: Custom plots only, Houses must be on Demise (not TC), One entry per person, not account.
There is no theme for this contest, other than to have a spectacular design/deco. Let your imagination run wild, but remember covering your house in arties will not impress us.
To enter:
  1. Get a Bag
  2. Inside that bag, place a rune to your house and a book with character name, house name, forum name and e-mail address.
  3. Place your Bag into the Drop box at West Britain Bank.
Vendor Market Raffle:
There will be 28 free to obtain player vendor spots available in the festival grounds. These will be present for the duration of the festival. The vendor raffle will take place in a separate thread, to be posted later.

12 pm A special gate will be opened to the festival grounds.

SATURDAY AUGUST 27th 2016

1v1 & 2v2 PVP Tournies
12 pm Experienced at pvp or not? Come try your skills at this player vs player event.
Insurance will not be lost during this event, so this could be a good place to learn.

Find The Lost Pet
1 pm The Staff's pets have escaped and are wandering the lands, Inform staff when you have found their beloved pets and they will grace you with a gift.

Fishing Tournament
3 pm sign ups, for a 3.30 pm start, Who's the best fisherman/woman on Demise? Then come along to this competition to see who can catch the biggest fish or the total amount of fish. You will need to have 80 fishing skill to enter, rods will be provided.

PvM Tournament
5 pm sign ups, for a 5.30 pm start, A tournament to find out who is the champion of the beast killers. For those that don't know what this entails, competitors will fight solo in an arena against increasingly difficult monsters. Die and you are out of the competition. Last man/woman standing wins the prize!
More details at the bottom of this post.

Open Gauntlet
9 pm - 12 pm the next day, A gate will be opened to enter gauntlet.

SUNDAY AUGUST 28th 2016​

1v1 & 2v2 PVP Tournies
12 pm Experienced at pvp or not? Come try your skills at this player vs player event.
Insurance will not be lost during this event, so this could be a good place to learn.

Darts Tournament
1 pm Standard elimination. Three shots per round, top 50% move on to the next round until someone comes out as champion. Bring a dagger!

Net Toss
2 pm A Special Gate will be opened in the festival grounds to the Net Toss arena. Come take on the creatures of the deep and loot as much as you can carry.

Scavenger Hunt
3 pm Come collect your basket and then run around the world collecting as many of the scavenger items as you can.

Event For Crafters
4 pm sign ups, for a 4.15 pm start, More details at the bottom of this post.

Hedge Maze
6 pm Think you have the skills and patience to survive this evil maze? Come without steed nor pet to aid you through this perilous place.

Specific Event Information

PvM Tournament:
Rules:
Only one entry per person, not per character.
The rules are simple NO pets, NO summons, NO mounts. Violation of these rules will cause you to be instantly disqualified.
Sign-ups:
Page in game on your character after the sign up and before the start time. Any entries after the start time will not be accepted.
Only once a staff member has come to you and told you that you have been entered, you will be placed into a holding area, until the tournament begins.

Crafters Event:
A special event for crafters, that could give you a chance to make some nice items.

There will be some PvM involved, so come prepared for a fight. In addition to this, there are 4 entry requirements that must all be satisfied to enter:
  1. You must have either GM Blacksmithy or GM Tailoring
  2. You must have either GM Fletching or GM Carpentry
  3. You must have either GM Tinkering or GM Arms lore
  4. You must have either GM Lumberjacking or GM Mining

Everything you take in with you or obtained during this event, cannot be taken with you unless you insure it, as you MUST die to be able to leave. We will not assist you to recover anything, so make sure you have enough money in your bank for insurance!

Thanks for the crafting event!

Can you answer one question regarding the drop rate at the crafting event, will luck on a players suit have any bearing on the drop rate for a player? (helps in deciding what suit a player should put together) :)

The things you can obtain in this event, become available in a variety of different ways. So I can't really advise whether or not you should use any specific items or skills.
Just remember to have enough insurance funds, as you will need to die before you can leave.

You can take in anything that you can Insure or don't mind losing, you will need to die before you can exit.

Red crafters will be able to enter. :p
