Smithing Profit

What is the most profitable item to craft and sell back to NPC merch's?
I recently GM'd my smith and noticed because heater shields have 100% ex rate and you make 72g off every one (assuming you bought your ingots in fel for 4g)....that creates a HUGE profit.

Is there any item better?

Don't think so. But in OSI, people create coloured heater shields for more money. The scripter's choice of colour is shadow iron hehe.

It has been a long time since I dont craft and sell but I used to do tear kite shield with smith or if you also have tinker and have a lot of patience, then do hammers with tinker - 1 ingot per hammer.
