PETS FALLOW PEOPLE THAT ARE IN STEALTH

If a pet is set to all kill it will fallow a person if they smoke bomb and will continue to fallow them wile they are in stealth

Animals have a strong sense of scent, it sounds normal to me that even if you are hidden, they can still smell you

This is indeed a bug, thank you for posting! (It only happens for melee pets.)

I used to have a pet target a Shadow Knight when battling them. Whenever the thing would hide, the pet would track it allowing me to find, reveal & attack it again before it healed up.
