Newbie gold guide...

Go to jhellum or anywhere with hirelings (such as warriors). Hire them and they will act like an escort-pet. They obey most commands such as guard and attack. Next, find a hot spot to hunt like a cemetary and get some easy gold.

Yes thats not a bad way to start out, I cant remember, but you can hire more than one can't you? maybe get 5 and drag em around LOL

its more cost effective to just escort NPCs. Look for nobles and they pay a nice amount, @ 800gp. You have to wait 5 min. between each escort though.

true, but this way i train my skills cheaply as well.

you only can have 1, they work much more like escorts now

go to the sleeping dragon champ spawn. take gold from corpses. dump money off at bank, or use bag of sending to save time. later.

But then get used to have people calling you a f*ing leech and hating you (plus if they can, they will avoid letting money in the corpses so you don't take it). That's not a guide, that's the way to screw the champ spawn and probably one of worse advices to give (that's what made the champ having more "young" characters trying to loot than normal characters fighting.
If you want to go to the dragon champ spawn, go, but do something to kill your own stuff. Provocation is a pretty nice skill for a young char: you are not attacked by the monsters (as you don't attack them directly) and you can still be a real help in the champ.

Leechers are always an annoyance, if you're going to bother the people in the champs at least try to peacemake or provoke the monsters or something like that rather than being just an inert loot stealer lag maker :)

umm..i haven't done champ spawns in 2 years. when i did them last time, about 80% of the corpses went unlooted if not more because it got to chaotic to loot (expecially if your saving weight room for items) and instead people focus on killing spawn.

looting champ without doing the work, is weak. (thats why there should be a check system that you have to do x amount of work pre-last 3 skulls)

however, looting unlooted monsters during the process, is not a bad idea.
