Knights of Virtue
A long long time ago, there is a story of a legendary warrior who saved Sosaria from the grips of a wicked wizard named Modain by shattering the Gem of Immortality. After this triumph over evil, he disappeared into the wilderness and was never heard from again. In this time, he pondered of the need of a society that would never let something like this ever happen again. So he founded The Knights of Virtues, it was a guild built to spread the values of goodwill and battle the forces of evil. It has been kept a secret for years only allowing a select few to join the guild.
One grim day there was word of a dreaded dragon pillaging the countryside and one of the peasants had followed the dragon and unraveled the beasts nest. It was located in the Fire Temple. The guild found it in their duty to slay the vile creature. As they entered the temple it was deadly silent as they could only hear the loud footsteps of their boots hitting the marble floors. As they peered up to the center of the defiled temple, they caught a glimpse of the evil monster. She was sleeping. As they were walking up the steps to slay the dragon, the room lit up behind them. They twirled around to discover that they were surrounded by hundreds of other dragons. It was a trap! The Paladins fought valiantly until most of the dragons were slain, but the leader of the dragons escaped into an underground maze where she continues to this day to breed more dragons. In memory of this day, it is traditional that new members slay one of these dragons in order to join the guild.
The cost of the battle had been heavy; all of the knights had been wiped out, including the legendary stranger, except myself and Jake Blackstone. Now we are in need of new members and are recruiting. Apply if you are up to the task. Sosaria is in need of new heroes!
